We Don’t Just Mask Symptoms—We Mend Them
Is your body telling you something? Maybe you’re exhausted for no reason, struggling with brain fog, or dealing with symptoms that won’t go away— you don’t have to accept it as just the way things are. Your body is wise, and those signals are asking for support.
Taking a pill to mask symptoms is like painting dying leaves green—it might look better temporarily, but it doesn’t fix the problem. Instead, true healing starts at the roots. Just as a tree needs healthy soil to thrive, your body needs balance, nourishment, and the right interventions to heal. At Ailmend Health, we take the time to uncover what’s going on, using functional medicine, in-depth testing, and holistic care to guide you back to true wellness.
If you’ve been searching for real answers, you’ve found the right place. We focus on solving the underlying issues—not just managing symptoms.
Healing starts with understanding your whole story. We take the time to look at everything—your lifestyle, diet, toxin exposure, stress levels, hormones, microbiome composition, and all the factors that affect your health—to uncover the root cause of what’s making you feel unwell. When we address the cause, your body can begin to heal naturally.
Your diagnosis does not define you. Humans are complex, with an amazing ability to heal when given the right tools and support. I don’t believe in masking symptoms—I believe in working with you to create a personalized plan that truly helps you feel better.
No waiting rooms. No rushed appointments. Just real healing.
ACUTE CARE VISITS:
No surprise bills. No waiting rooms.
For common illnesses like a sinus infection, UTI, pink eye, or something else minor, receive quick, affordable, high-quality care from a holistically focused provider—who can prescribe antibiotics when needed and help you get back on track.
If you’ve been struggling with unexplained symptoms, persistent health issues, or a lack of answers from conventional medicine, you’re not alone. We specialize in treating chronic conditions, hormonal imbalances, gut health issues, autoimmune diseases, and more.
Weight struggles, cycle irregularities, mood swings
Always tired and low energy, even after a full night’s sleep
Heartburn, bloating, constipation, or food sensitivities
Trouble concentrating, feeling “off,” or struggling to fall asleep
Joint pain, stiffness, or unexplained body aches
Told “everything looks fine” but still suffering
We start with a comprehensive medical history and an in-depth assessment, taking the time to understand your unique health story—your symptoms, lifestyle, past medical experiences, and anything that could be impacting your well-being. This deep dive allows us to create a targeted plan that truly supports your healing.
We don’t guess—we test. From advanced lab work to gut microbiome analysis, hormone panels, and toxin exposure screenings, we dig deeper than conventional medicine to uncover what’s really going on.
Your body has unique needs. We develop a customized plan that includes dietary recommendations, targeted supplements, and lifestyle adjustments to support your healing journey.
Imbalanced hormones can impact energy, mood, metabolism, and overall well-being. Whether it’s thyroid health, adrenal function, or hormone replacement therapy (HRT/TRT), we work to restore balance naturally.
Your health is more than just physical. We help you understand the role of stress, sleep, and emotional health in your healing process, providing practical strategies to support long-term wellness.
Healing is a journey, and you’re not in it alone. You’ll have virtual check-ins, access to expert support, and ongoing adjustments to ensure your plan evolves with your needs.
Need quick, reliable care for common health concerns? We also offer flat-fee virtual acute care visits for just $45—because access to quality healthcare should be simple and affordable.
At Ailmend Health, we believe that healing is both an art and a science. That’s why our approach combines objective diagnostic testing, evidence-based treatments, and compassionate, whole-person care to help you find real answers and lasting solutions. We know that your body is wise—it gives you signals when something is off. Our job is to listen to those signals, uncover the root cause, and guide you with care, trust, and understanding toward balance and healing.
Jessica Lemker is a doctorally prepared Family Nurse Practitioner and the founder of Ailmend Health. With over 15 years of experience in healthcare and extensive training in functional medicine, Jessica is passionate about helping patients find real answers when they’ve been told “everything looks normal.”
With a background in emergency medicine, Jessica knows what it means to care for people in their most vulnerable moments—but it’s her passion for deep, restorative healing that inspired her to build a new kind of practice: one that listens, investigates, and partners with you every step of the way.
She believes that a diagnosis doesn’t define who you are, and that the body has an incredible ability to heal—given the right support, time, and tools.
When she’s not working with patients, you’ll find Jessica spending time with her husband and three kids, traveling, reading, running, doing yoga, or training in jiu jitsu.

If you’re constantly exhausted, even after a full night’s sleep, it’s time to stop pushing through and start looking for answers. Fatigue is not just a normal part of aging or a busy life—it’s a sign that your body needs support.
In this FREE guide, you’ll learn:
Functional medicine is a holistic way to view and approach health and illness. With functional medicine, we look for the root cause of what is ailing you, and ask why this is happening, rather than just giving medications that mask symptoms and unfortunately can cause other problems.
Your body is not just a collection of parts but is one unified being and we should treat it that way. We work to fix the issues so that you heal for good and don’t have to keep treating your symptoms for years to come. We will evaluate your health from many different aspects including lifestyle, diet, sleep, stress, movement, genetics, toxic exposures, environment, and internal qualities like inflammation, oxidative stress, hormones, gut and digestive health, and mitochondrial function (cell energy).
Currently we are only licensed to care for residents of Minnesota.
Possibly! We start with a phone call and then typically we continue care virtually, but if you are in the Twin Cities area, we could arrange for a meeting in person.
For functional medicine: I highly recommend the complementary Discovery Call to ensure we are a great fit! We will discuss your concerns and how I can best serve you and we will discuss investment options. For simple acute care visits, the cost is just $45 for the visit. No waiting in crowded waiting rooms, and a lot less expensive than a typical office visit, especially if you have a high deductible insurance plan.
No, currently we do not accept insurance, however, this allows us to dig much deeper into your concerns than you would find at most health care providers. We are able to choose the right tests and treatments for you, without having to worry about whether or not it will be covered. We do provide a detailed billing summary (super bill) to our clients, which you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.
We accept HSA/FSA and all major credit cards.
We are unable to see Medicare patients at this time.
Did you know that an average clinic visit lasts only 18 minutes? At Ailmend Health, you will get 90 minutes for your Foundational Assessment and follow-up visits are 45 to 60 minutes. Your provider will spend a significant amount of time reviewing your intake paperwork and labs ahead of the Foundational Assessment, leaving you plenty of time to talk about everything that is concerning you.
Included in your Foundational Assessment is an advanced biomarker panel ($300 value) which provides insight into your current state of health. Any advanced tests recommended based on your symptoms and lab results will be discussed and offered at a reduced rate.
You are not under any obligation to purchase any advanced testing.
Nope! We can see you even if it’s the first time you are visiting Ailmend Health.
